Goodbye Sandfly is a safe and effective natural insect repellent and bite soother.

Goodbye Sandfly was created in 1999 during a season of guiding canoes on the Dart River outside of Glenorchy.  Our guests tested and commented until we had a formula that was effective and that people like using because of its good smell.  Goodbye Sandfly is made with 100% aromatherapy grade oils in a base of almond oil (and that is all!)

Our family business has spent the past 5 summers based in Karamea on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.  From 11 years of experience and customer input we’ve created Sandfly Country, for information and ideas on managing sandflies and sandfly bites.  Sandfly Map shows the location and intensity of sandflies in NZ.  Entries are made entirely by Kiwis and visitors.   Check your location before you travel, and then make a report!

Goodbye Sandfly is available in hundreds of shops throughout New Zealand & on-line.  You can find us through the Where to Buy section on our website.  As of October 2010 our Refill Network is starting.  Refill your bottles (great!) and save money (great!).
