Technology Overview
A novel and inexpensive formulation platform has been developed by Johnson & Wilkins Limited that overcomes the problem of product spoilage. We have identified a manufacturing system suitable for the production of non aqueous gels using regulatory approved excipient compounds. The portfolio of organogels has been used to overcome a technology barrier by providing a water free sterile environment for bioactive compounds. It ensures product stability (long shelf life), with exceptional safety and efficacy profiles. Base organogels include Magnate™. Formulations are suitable for topical delivery of DNA, RNAi, protein, carbohydrates, lipids and phytochemicals as well as small molecule APIs. Both polar and non polar compounds are readily blended.
